About Walk with Trees

WalkwithTrees is an initiative whose aim is to encourage all ages to interact with the natural world in a creative, fun and inspiring way and to help people develop a deep respect and admiration for the countryside on their own doorsteps.

Britain is a charismatic, beautiful and unique island with bountiful plants and trees which can provide food, medicine and other natural resources to enrich its inhabitants’ lives.

Each plant and tree has a story to tell from a rich tradition which has venerated its flora and fauna.
WalkwithTrees is involved in helping to bring back the part-lost Bardic and Classical traditions by sharing the stories and poems so much a part of Britain’s natural heritage.

To reach as many people as possible we offer courses for all age groups, camping and residential, events local and national, activities at schools, nature-based storytelling as well as talks (and sometimes walks ) in many locations around Hampshire and Sussex.

Our courses teach many aspects of working with nature including wilderness skills like fire lighting, carving and survival skills; nature’s crafts making products from wild plants and trees; and spiritual bushcraft integrating the Celtic mysteries alongside practical woodland skills.
We also offer an extremely popular Family Bushcraft week, fully residential in Dorset.

We hope you enjoy exploring the site and find a course or event that will suit you.
